Portable electrical appliances

AS/NZS 3760:2010 recommends the testing frequencies to match the ‘hostile’ environment in which the equipment is to be used. A regular Inspection and Testing program is intended to prevent electric shock, electrocution, fire, and physical injury hazards that arise from working with electricity. The cost of doing nothing about WHS could be as simple as a non-tax deductable fine, loss of business through downtime, or as lethal as a fatality.

Remember – you can’t see, smell, hear, or feel electricity until it’s too late!

The following is taken from AS/NZS 3760:2010 Table 4 which outlines the specific frequency guidelines. Contact us to give you more detailed information about what is required for your industry. Better yet call for a free site inspection today!
