Why Jags

Easy Compliance

The WHS Code of Practice for Managing Electrical Risks in the Workplace states;

“A person conducting a business or undertaking has the primary duty under the WHS Act to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that workers and other persons at the workplace are not exposed to electrical risks arising from the business or undertaking. This duty requires eliminating electrical risks or, if that is not reasonably practicable, minimising the risks so far as is reasonably practicable.”

The Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760 outlines the necessary compliance requirements for a regular, preventative maintenance program to ensure that all in- service portable appliances are inspected and tested by a competently trained person. Risk Assessments are carried out on an appliance to appliance basis, together with the environment they operate in to provide the testing frequency required as outlined in the standard. Documentation and reporting from the inspection and testing are also part of the standard and a legal requirement.

Sounds like a lot of work for an employee who already has a demanding workload. Have you considered outsourcing this to a professional contractor to keep you compliant?
JAGS Test & Tag is up to date with the latest Australian Standards, WHS Codes of Practice, and OHS legislation to ensure that you receive the correct information to keep your business compliant. As part of our service we will:
